Excalibur® Check Valve Cut Sheet
DFT’s Excalibur® Silent Check Valve is capable of meeting most check valve requirements due to its wide range of sizes, pressure ratings, and special features. The Excalibur® Check Valve is a center-guided, spring-assisted, axial flow valve that can be used for a number of different fluids and temperature/pressure combinations. This non-slam valve provides reliable performance with minimum maintenance.
The Excalibur® Silent Check Valve is comprised of a two-piece body, seat, gasket, spring, and disc with guide and stem bushing. Two standard body materials are available for this valve: A216 Grade WCB carbon steel and A351 CF8M stainless steel.
There are a number of optional body materials which can be selected, which include Hastelloy, Inconel 600, Monel, Alloy 20, Duplex SS, and Nickel-Aluminum Bronze. Additionally, stainless steel trim is commonly used in the valve, but virtually any metal alloy can be specified.
Thirteen total sizes are offered in the Excalibur® line, ranging from 2’’ up to 24’’. Each of these sizes is offered in multiple ASME ratings, ranging from class 150 to class 1500 (not all sizes are offered in all ratings). RF flanged ends are standard, however butt weld, flanged butt weld, RTJ, and Victaulic ends are also available.
This nozzle style, axial flow check valve has a protected spring, provides reliable tight shutoff, and can be used for either vertical or horizontal installations. Available options for the Excalibur® Silent Check Valve include an Inconel X-750 spring, severe service or Stellite trim, soft seat, and custom sizing low flow.
